About me

I work as a private tutor and educational consultant, primarily specialising in Mathematics and Economics, ranging from helping students with a supplementary hour of weekly tuition to more intensive programmes for students no longer in mainstream education. Most of my work takes place online through Zoom, allowing me to reach students across the UK and further afield in countries such as Australia, China and the Philippines. I also undertake in-person tutoring placements, such as a month-long residential Mathematics programme delivered for a family in their home in Germany in June and July 2025. Besides GCSEs, IB and A Levels, I also offer extra-curricular support, such as with the John Locke Institute Essay Competititon, with two of my students achieving commendations this year alone.

Education is my vocation, and I invest an incredible amount of effort into creating bespoke resources, writing regular progress reports for parents and planning memorable, enjoyable and intellectually stimulating lessons. I particularly enjoy introducing students to challenging ideas and encouraging curiosity that extends beyond the school syllabus. Much of my work comes to me directly, increasingly through word of mouth across several countries thanks to the outstanding reputation I have cultivated over several years of tutoring. My record was further confirmed in 2024, when 100% of my A Level students achieved grades A*–B, compared with 53.7% nationally.

Beyond conventional tuition, I offer educational consultancy, particularly in relation to competitive school and university admissions, and am expanding my work delivering talks, presentations and academic enrichment workshops for schools and educational organisations. Drawing upon my interests in Economics, Politics, Philosophy and international affairs, I enjoy bringing complex ideas to life through engaging discussions and thought-provoking presentations. For instance, I deliver an annual workshop on how students can take advantage of LinkedIn for their career advancement, completing this for Doha College, Qatar, the British International School of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Epsom College, England.

I am familiar with all major UK exam boards, including Edexcel, AQA and OCR, as well as the Cambridge and Edexcel International GCSE and A Level curricula and the International Baccalaureate (IB). I also hold an Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, which is important for safeguarding purposes.

Having lived and worked in several countries, and speaking Spanish, Catalan and French fluently, I bring an international perspective to my work and am particularly keen to develop partnerships with schools and families around the world.
